Gram’s Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

 

1 C. Butter

1 1/2 C. Sugar

1 C. Sour Cream with 1 tsp. Baking Soda mixed into it

2 Eggs

1 T. Baking Powder

1-3 T. Nutmeg

 

Cream butter with sugar; add the sour cream with the soda mixed into it, mix well. Stir in eggs. Mix dry ingredients together in separate bowl, then add to creamed sour cream mixture. Using about 1 T. of dough, press onto cookie sheet with the bottom of a decorative glass that has been greased and dipped into sugar. Bake at 400 degrees until lightly browned. Makes a large soft cookie – gets stale quickly.
