Best Ever White Rice

 

EVOO

2 C. Mahatma Jasmine Rice, divided

3.5 C. Water or Broth

Salt and Pepper to Taste

 

Add oil to medium hot pan and let it warm up.  Add 1 C. rice and toast until it is a nutty brown. Add second C. rice a 2T. butter and stir until butter melts. Add 3 ½ C. liquid (water or broth).  Season to taste and bring to a boil for 2-3 minutes.  Stir once more, then reduce heat to low, cover and cook without lifting lid for 20 minutes. Fluff gently and serve
