Create a desk where your newscaster can read the news.  This can be any table or desk with a sheet over the front.  have your children create a poster sized logo to dress up the set, giving a name to thier newscast.  If desired, dress the set further with clocks, maps or other posters behind the desk.

 

Your newscasters can read from a script or just improvise.  Give them story ideas.  If you are videotaping their news, they can add “on the street” interviews.  It could be a family newscast, with reports from family vacations, or projects they are doing in school.  Or they can invent world news.  Take turns being the anchor, the cameraman, the weatherman, or sports anchor. It’s all up to thier imagination!
