Indoor Snow Fun

When it’s too cold to spend a lot of time outside, bring a little of the outdoors in!

Snow

Wagon, Tray or Serving Bowls

Cups, Spoons, Toy Shovels

Food Coloring

Mat, Shower Curtain, or blanket

Mittens

Your Child Will Learn: Tactile Stimulation

Fill a wagon, tray or serving bowls with fresh snow. Lay down a mat, shower curtain, or blanket on the kitchen floor. Put the snow down on your protective surface. Using cups, spoons, toy shovels let your children play in the snow. Add some pizzazz by letting them drop some food coloring in the snow.

It may mean mopping the floor later, but your children will love this activity! And don’t forget the mittens.
