Water<br \/>\n1\/4 C. Sugar<br \/>\n2 T. Fresh orange juice<br \/>\n1 T. Butter or margarine<br \/>\n10 oz. Quick-cooking couscous<br \/>\n1\/4 C. Golden Raisins (or Currants)<br \/>\n2 T. Grated orange rind<br \/>\n1 tsp. Ground cinnamon<br \/>\nPinch of Salt<br \/>\n2 navel Oranges, sectioned and chopped<br \/>\n10 pitted Dates, chopped<br \/>\nGarnish: Orange sections<\/p>\n<p>Bring 2 1\/4 C. water and sugar to a boil in a saucepan, stirring constantly; boil gently 10 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir in orange juice. Remove from heat, and stir in butter. Combine couscous and next 4 ingredients in a large bowl; stir in hot sugar syrup. Let stand 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in chopped orange and dates. Serve warm or cold.
