Cook 1 to 2 minutes longer, or until the spices are fragrant. Add the broth, chickpeas, and tomatoes (with juice). Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to simmer. Cook, partially covered, for 25 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender. Stir in the spinach and cook for about 2 minutes, or until wilted.
