{"id":25334,"date":"2007-01-08T22:01:22","date_gmt":"2007-01-09T05:01:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/recipes\/?p=25334"},"modified":"2019-06-02T22:03:11","modified_gmt":"2019-06-03T05:03:11","slug":"25334","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/recipes\/?p=25334","title":{"rendered":"Hyssop Baked Peppers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hyssop Baked Peppers<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>4 red bell peppers<\/p>\n<p>3 cloves garlic<\/p>\n<p>Salt<\/p>\n<p>2 sprigs hyssop leaves, removed from the stems and finely chopped<\/p>\n<p>Olive Oil<\/p>\n<p>16 ripe cherry tomatoes<\/p>\n<p>8 anchovy fillets<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Preheat the oven to 400\u00c2\u00b0F (200\u00c2\u00b0C) Halve the peppers lengthways, remove and discard the white core and seeds, then lay the peppers, cut side up, in a greased baking dish. They should fit snugly. Peel the garlic, slice it finely and put a few slices in each halved pepper, together with a little salt, a pinch of hyssop leaves and 1 T. (15 ml) oil. (If you are using anchovies in olive oil, use this oil, as it adds extra flavor.) Halve the tomatoes \u00e2\u20ac\u201d there&#8217;s no need to peel these small tomatoes \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and tuck them into the peppers. Bake in the oven until the peppers have almost collapsed and are full of juice. Either drain the anchovies, if in oil, on paper towels, or if in brine, rinse and dry them. Roughly chop the anchovy fillets and stir 1 tsp. (5 ml) into each of the peppers.
