Pack some of this granola into an attractive glass jar: It makes a great hostess gift.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>6 cups old-fashioned oats<\/p>\n<p>1 cup wheat germ<\/p>\n<p>1 cup skim milk powder<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup sliced almonds<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup chopped hazelnuts<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup shelled sunflower seeds<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup sesame seeds<\/p>\n<p>2 teaspoons cinnamon<\/p>\n<p>1 cup honey<\/p>\n<p>1 cup canola oil<\/p>\n<p>2 teaspoons vanilla extract<\/p>\n<p>3\/4 cup golden raisins<\/p>\n<p>3\/4 cup dark raisins<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup dried cherries<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup dried cranberries<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 325\u00c2\u00b0F. In a large bowl, toss together the oats, wheat germ, milk powder, nuts, sunflower and sesame seeds, and cinnamon. In a heavy saucepan, heat the honey and oil until hot but not boiling. Remove pan from heat: stir in vanilla. Pour the honey-oil mixture over the oats mixture and toss to coat thoroughly. Spread evenly in three 9- by 13-inch baking pans, or two roasting pans. Bake for approximately 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes until mixture is golden.
