{"id":1667,"date":"2004-03-31T02:19:23","date_gmt":"2004-03-31T09:19:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/recipes\/?p=1667"},"modified":"2010-06-17T14:00:10","modified_gmt":"2010-06-17T21:00:10","slug":"spicy-kielbasa-vegetable-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/recipes\/?p=1667","title":{"rendered":"Spicy Kielbasa Vegetable Soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1\/2 lb. reduced-fat smoked turkey kielbasa, sliced (or lean ham)<br \/>\n1 small zucchini, chopped<br \/>\n1 C. cabbage, finely chopped<br \/>\n1 onion, chopped<br \/>\n1 medium carrot, grated<br \/>\n1 green pepper, chopped<br \/>\n1 tsp.dried basil or 5 leaves fresh, chopped<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp.crushed red pepper flakes<br \/>\n2 garlic cloves, minced<br \/>\n1\/2 C. spiral pasta, dry<br \/>\n2 cans chicken broth<br \/>\n2 soup cans water<br \/>\n1 6 oz. can V8 juice<br \/>\n1 can great northern beans, drained<br \/>\n1 can diced tomatoes, undrained<br \/>\n1 can green beans, drained<\/p>\n<p>In a non-stick skillet, cook kielbasa over medium heat until lightly browned. Add the onion, carrot, green pepper, cabbage, zucchini and garlic. Cook and stir for 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Transfer to a slow cooker. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours. If in a hurry, you can bring all ingredients to a boil and cover. Remove from heat; let sit for 30 minutes.
