Top each chop with an onion slice. Make a sauce of the remaining ingredients and pour over the chops, cover and bake at 300\u00c2\u00b0 to 325\u00c2\u00b0 for about 1\u00c2\u00bd hours. Uncover for the last 20 minutes. Serves 6. The sauce can be made up and kept on hand. It may be used on chicken, meat loaf, spareribs or stew meat.
