Hot Red Chili Flakes<\/p>\n<p>2 Sprigs Thyme, leaves only<\/p>\n<p>4 oz. can or jar of White Asparagus<\/p>\n<p>2 T. slivered Almonds, ground into paste with mortar and pestle<\/p>\n<p>Salt &amp; Pepper<\/p>\n<p>8 slices white bread, toasted lightly<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00bd canned Pimiento, sliced into thin strips<\/p>\n<p>Thyme Leaves for garnish<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Add oil, garlic, chile flakes and thyme to a saucepan and bring to a boil; remove from heat and let cool.\u00c2\u00a0 Place asparagus in blender and pulse until smooth.\u00c2\u00a0 Pour oil into blender THROUGH a fine sieve; discard solids.\u00c2\u00a0 Blend again, then add ground almonds and salt and pepper to taste.\u00c2\u00a0 Cut rounds from the toasted bread.\u00c2\u00a0 Mound a little bit of asparagus mix on each bread circle.\u00c2\u00a0 Top with a slice of pimiento and a few thyme leaves and serve.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>From Easy Tapas<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Yield:<\/p>\n<p>Calories:<\/p>\n<p>Fat:<\/p>\n<p>Fiber:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2 T.
