{"id":12353,"date":"2013-06-08T21:15:48","date_gmt":"2013-06-09T04:15:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/recipes\/?p=12353"},"modified":"2013-12-08T21:21:25","modified_gmt":"2013-12-09T04:21:25","slug":"chickpea-pancakes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/recipes\/?p=12353","title":{"rendered":"Chickpea Pancakes"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>1 15 oz. can chickpeas, drained and rinsed well<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>About 1\/3 C. very thick tomato sauce<\/p>\n<p>1 egg<\/p>\n<p>A few T. heavy cream, but you could use bean broth or stock<\/p>\n<p>Cumin to taste (I used quite a bit, a T. probably)<\/p>\n<p>2 cloves garlic, minced<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 C. all-purpose flour<\/p>\n<p>Oil to cook the garlic and to fry the patties.\u00c2\u00a0 I used olive oil<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Heat 1 T. oil in a small pan and saut\u00c3\u00a9 the garlic for a few minutes.\u00c2\u00a0 Add the tomato sauce and cook a few minutes more. Add the sauce mix, the chickpeas, egg, cumin, flour, and cream to a food processor.\u00c2\u00a0 Process until the chickpeas are pureed with the other ingredients.\u00c2\u00a0 Add salt and pepper if you wish.
