Soy Sauce<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 C. Dry Sherry<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 C. Rice Wine<\/p>\n<p>Juice of 2 Lemons<\/p>\n<p>5 drops Tabasco Sauce<\/p>\n<p>4 Beef Hangar Steaks (8 to 12 oz. each), skirt steak or flank steak may be substituted<\/p>\n<p>2 T. Vegetable Oil Pepper<\/p>\n<p>2 Leeks, white parts only, split lengthwise and cleaned<\/p>\n<p>2 C. Canola Oil for frying<\/p>\n<p>4 thick slices Good Bread, toasted, for serving<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In glass baking dish, mix together onion, garlic, soy sauce, sherry, rice wine, lemon juice and Tabasco.\u00c2\u00a0 Lb. steaks to 2\/3\u00e2\u20ac\u009d thickness.\u00c2\u00a0 Rub meat with oil and season well with pepper.\u00c2\u00a0 Add steaks to marinade.\u00c2\u00a0 Let stand one hour.\u00c2\u00a0 Cut leeks into 2\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 lengths.\u00c2\u00a0 Finely julienne each length.\u00c2\u00a0 Soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Oil surface of a clean grill rack.\u00c2\u00a0 Preheat until hot.\u00c2\u00a0 Remove steaks from marinade; discard remaining.\u00c2\u00a0 Grill steaks for 3 minutes on one side.\u00c2\u00a0 Turn and grill for 2 minutes on second side for medium-rare; set aside to rest on carving platter while you finish leeks.\u00c2\u00a0 Pour oil into wok and heat to 225F, or until hot enough to brown a cube of bread tossed into it.\u00c2\u00a0 Meanwhile, drain keels and pat completely dry.\u00c2\u00a0 Deep-fry leeks in 3 batches just until lightly browned, 2 to 4 minutes.\u00c2\u00a0 Drain well on paper towels, season with salt and pepper.\u00c2\u00a0 To serve place toast on heated serving plates.\u00c2\u00a0 Slice hangar steak on an angle and distribute over toast.\u00c2\u00a0 Scatter leeks over the top and serve.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Yield:<\/p>\n<p>Calories:<\/p>\n<p>Fat:<\/p>\n<p>Fiber:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1 Yellow Onion, thinly sliced 2 cloves Garlic, minced 1\/2 C.
