Trim any fat off the bacon slices and then cut into squares. Place in a small skillet, add the onion, and gently fry for 5-10 minutes until well cooked. Place the flour and baking powder in a bowl and mix. Stir in the cheese and corn. In another bowl whisk the milk, eggs, and oil together.\u00c2\u00a0 Add this mixture to the flour mixture, then add the onion and bacon. Stir to combine but do not overmix.\u00c2\u00a0 Spoon into the muffin cases and bake for 15 minutes until firm to touch.
