In a saucepan, saut\u00e9 onions, garlic, and spices in oil until onions are clear. Add carrots; saut\u00e9 for 3-4 minutes. Add green pepper; cook another 5 minutes. Add black pepper, parsley, juice, and tomatoes. Simmer until vegetables are tender. Combine the black beans with the vegetable mixture. Puree only 2-3 C. of the bean mixture in the blender with water to make it smooth.
