Ask each child to roll out the piece of clay until it is larger than the leaf. Help each child place the leaf on the clay, vein side down. Give each child a piece of waxed paper. Ask children to place the waxed paper over the leaf and clay and roll the rolling pin lightly over the waxed paper until the leaf sinks into the clay. Help each child carefully remove the waxed paper, pull the leaf by its stem away from the clay, and make a small hole in the clay. Place the clay leaf prints in a sunny window to dry.
