{"id":2693,"date":"2010-11-01T22:42:50","date_gmt":"2010-11-02T05:42:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/mom\/?p=2693"},"modified":"2009-11-25T22:46:35","modified_gmt":"2009-11-26T05:46:35","slug":"thanksgiving-gratitude-wreath","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/mom\/?p=2693","title":{"rendered":"Thanksgiving Gratitude Wreath"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">The idea behind the wreath is for visitors to my home to add what they are thankful for to the wreath.\u00c2\u00a0 Each visitor writes his name on the tip of the clothespin and what he is thankful for on the handle of the clothespin.\u00c2\u00a0 When the season is over, I will have a fantastic collection of things my friends, my family and even the UPS man are thankful for!\u00c2\u00a0 Here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s how to make your own.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">First, I bought a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0016845AQ?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=cnj-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B0016845AQ\"><strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Trebuchet MS&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">wire wreath frame<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"> <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">Then, I purchased a bag of clothespins.\u00c2\u00a0 Turns out that you will need exactly 53 of them to fill this 12 inch frame.\u00c2\u00a0 Next, I assembled my child labor to paint the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&amp;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Fie%3DUTF8%26x%3D0%26ref%255F%3Dnb%255Fss%26y%3D0%26field-keywords%3Dclothespins%2520wooden%26url%3Dsearch-alias%253Dgarden&amp;tag=cnj-20&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957\" target=\"_blank\"><strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Trebuchet MS&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">clothespins<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\"> I gave them yellow, brown and orange acrylic paints and some sponge brushes and told them to paint them however they liked.\u00c2\u00a0 Little Jo and her friend had a great time painting all the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&amp;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Fie%3DUTF8%26x%3D0%26ref%255F%3Dnb%255Fss%26y%3D0%26field-keywords%3Dclothespins%2520wooden%26url%3Dsearch-alias%253Dgarden&amp;tag=cnj-20&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957\" target=\"_blank\"><strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Trebuchet MS&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">clothespins<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">, some paper and their fingers. I love how their mottled paint jobs look when all of the pins are on the wreath.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">Once the clothespins are completely dry, you will attach them to the ring.\u00c2\u00a0 Simply clip them onto the inner-most ring.\u00c2\u00a0 The length of the clothespin will cover up the rest of the wire rings, forming the nice wreath shape.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">I wanted to add a little something in the middle to help explain the point behind the wreath.\u00c2\u00a0 I purchased a 4 inch <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0001DU5K6?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=cnj-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B0001DU5K6\" target=\"_blank\"><strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Trebuchet MS&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">wooden heart shape<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"> <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">and suspended it in the middle of the wreath with the same ribbon I used to make a loop to hang it on the door.\u00c2\u00a0 I used a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0011EAJ3M?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=cnj-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B0011EAJ3M\" target=\"_blank\"><strong style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Trebuchet MS&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">woodburner<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"> <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">to inscribe \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I am thankful for\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6\u00e2\u20ac\u009d on the heart. If you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have a woodburner, you could easily use rubber stamps, a marker, or paint to write your message.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\">\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align: center; font-size: small;\">so I wouldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have to worry about losing the cap.\u00c2\u00a0 Each visitor can leave her own reason for thankfulness.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>Everyone who has visited so far has loved my wreath.\u00c2\u00a0 One visitor, a teacher, went out the next day and bought the supplies so she could make one to hang on her classroom door for the students.\u00c2\u00a0 What a great idea!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\">\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align: center;
