Carving a pumpkin is a messy job that I usually just enjoy watching my hubby take care of.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>I did that again, but I decided to salvage the seeds and get creative because usually I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t do \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcJack\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 with the seeds.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m trying to keep these weekly crafts easy and cheap to entice you all to enjoy doing them with your kiddos.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>Since we all spend money on pumpkins each year\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6and sometimes they aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t cheap, you might as well get your money\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s worth.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pumpkin seeds <\/span><\/p>\n

Orange, black, and green paint <\/span><\/p>\n

Elmer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s glue <\/span><\/p>\n

White sheet of paper (I used card stock\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6I love card stock paper!) <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Separate the pumpkin seeds from the stringy pumpkin.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Wash the seeds and then lay them on a plate or pan to dry.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>( I first put them on a paper towel, but as they were drying the paper towel was sticking to the seeds.)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3. To make it easy for the kids I covered 3 plates with tinfoil and put seeds on each of the plates with the color of paint.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

4.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>Paint the seeds!\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>I used finger paint because I thought it would be easier to just let my little girl mix the seeds around in the paint.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>Depending on what your child would like, you could let them paint each one with a paint brush, because really you only need one side painted. (The green finger paint wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t dark enough so we had to paint the stem seeds again.)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

5.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>After painting all the seeds, spread them out on the plate to allow them to dry.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

6.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>Sketch a picture of \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcJack\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 and glue the seeds on.<\/span><\/p>\n
