{"id":374,"date":"2016-12-12T10:34:53","date_gmt":"2016-12-12T17:34:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/journal\/?p=374"},"modified":"2016-12-12T10:36:10","modified_gmt":"2016-12-12T17:36:10","slug":"374","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/journal\/?p=374","title":{"rendered":"Cheddar Powder = Cheddar Chex Mix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over our long weekend (2 snow days + Saturday &amp; Sunday), we did a family movie night at home.\u00c2\u00a0 The girl and I made homemade chex mix, the way my family used to do before the company\u00c2\u00a0started packaging it.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s so much better crisp and still warm out of the oven, redolent of the Worcestershire and a hint of garlic, IMO anyway.\u00c2\u00a0 The beauty of it being you can make it your own too.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Chex Mix<\/p>\n<p>1 C. Butter<br \/>\n3 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. Garlic Powder<br \/>\n2-4 Drops Hot Pepper Sauce<br \/>\n6 C. small Pretzels or Pretzel Sticks<br \/>\n4 C. Wheat Chex<br \/>\n4 C. Rice or Corn Chex<br \/>\n5 C. Cheerios (or Make a Trifecta of Chex)<br \/>\n3 C. Mixed Nuts<\/p>\n<p>On saucepan mix butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and pepper sauce. Heat and stir until butter is melted. In large roasting pan mix remaining ingredients. Drizzle with butter mixture and toss to coat. Bake in 300F oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
