{"id":777,"date":"2009-10-20T12:56:58","date_gmt":"2009-10-20T19:56:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/?p=777"},"modified":"2009-10-20T12:56:58","modified_gmt":"2009-10-20T19:56:58","slug":"tools-of-the-obsession","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/?p=777","title":{"rendered":"Tools of the obsession"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been promising pictures of my obsession for a while.\u00c2\u00a0 Picks and cutters are my worst offences.\u00c2\u00a0 I have a fair amount of mayo cups and soy sauce bottles, mostly purchased before I actually started packing Kidlet meals.\u00c2\u00a0 Once I realized how little use those would get for us right now, I stopped picking those up, no matter how adorable.\u00c2\u00a0 Picks and cutters though &#8212; those I can use everyday in our american style food meals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-004.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-770\" title=\"bento 28 004\" src=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-004.JPG\" alt=\"bento 28 004\" width=\"430\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-004.JPG 1024w, https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-004-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>My pick collection.\u00c2\u00a0 At least most of it.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;ve got some bamboo picks and some long pinwheel picks that don&#8217;t fit in here.\u00c2\u00a0 There wasn&#8217;t space to separate everything.\u00c2\u00a0 So all my animal picks are dumped in one container.\u00c2\u00a0 All the primary color, non fork picks are together, and so on.<\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-005.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-771\" title=\"bento 28 005\" src=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-005.JPG\" alt=\"bento 28 005\" width=\"430\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-005.JPG 1024w, https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-005-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Soy sauce bottles, furikake containers and mayo cups.\u00c2\u00a0 As mentioned, they don&#8217;t get used too much.\u00c2\u00a0 Also my stash of baran.\u00c2\u00a0 I find that I don&#8217;t use them much as food separators, but I like the small ones tucked in his lunch to add a little happy and a little color (as in\u00c2\u00a0today&#8217;s waffle breakfast).<\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-011.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-776\" title=\"bento 28 011\" src=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-011.JPG\" alt=\"bento 28 011\" width=\"442\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-011.JPG 1024w, https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-011-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 442px) 100vw, 442px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These are the other assorted non bento specific tools that I use.\u00c2\u00a0 The brushes are used with food coloring (not shown) or to brush on the luster dust (little bottles in the middle) for a shine.\u00c2\u00a0 The purple handled tools are the quilling tools that I&#8217;ve mentioned before that I use for cutting cheese\/meat out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-008.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-774\" title=\"bento 28 008\" src=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-008.JPG\" alt=\"bento 28 008\" width=\"430\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-008.JPG 1024w, https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-008-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Miscellaneous stuff.\u00c2\u00a0 Nori punches, egg shapers, sandwich imprinters, various paper, silicon and plastic cups.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-009.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-775\" title=\"bento 28 009\" src=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-009.JPG\" alt=\"bento 28 009\" width=\"430\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-009.JPG 1024w, https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-009-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is the Go To box of cutters.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s got most of my mini sized cutters as well as\u00c2\u00a0all the bento specific cutters I have purchased, used for making figures and such.\u00c2\u00a0 These (and the rest of the cutting tools) are stored in 12&#215;12&#8243; flat boxes meant for storing scrapbooking papers\/pages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-007.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-773\" title=\"bento 28 007\" src=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-007.JPG\" alt=\"bento 28 007\" width=\"430\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-007.JPG 1024w, https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-007-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The next box of cutters mostly is stored away.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s got a lot of theme cutters that I would spcifically go looking for to fit a particular lunch, so it doesn&#8217;t need to sit out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-006.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-772\" title=\"bento 28 006\" src=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-006.JPG\" alt=\"bento 28 006\" width=\"430\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-006.JPG 1024w, https:\/\/pcgirl.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bento-28-006-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Finally are the large cutters that I use often enough (not necessarily just in bento.\u00c2\u00a0 I might dino or rocket up his snacks and things too) to keep out.\u00c2\u00a0 This also has the seasonal items in it.\u00c2\u00a0 After halloween\/fall I will take out those and bring out the christmas ones, etc. (Yes, sadly it is true, there are even more cutters not pictured because they are seasonal and packed away elsewhere until its time to bring them out).<\/p>\n<p>I think I need to make a collage of these photos for my desktop;
